Today was a bit on the side of feeling a little down again. Not too bad, but just a little bit. I did want to go home badly, but it wasn't so bad that I was completely and utterly depressed the entire day. It was more like...in small amounts. I would get depressed for about five minutes or so, then be fine for an hour or two before it would happen again. So...it was easy to get through. Nothing to worry about. Just a little depression that's to be expected.

As far as activities...my roommate, his friend DJ, and I went to Aoyama and then Ginza to go sightseeing/shopping. It cool. I didn't buy anything since I had little to no money, but I enjoyed looking at the prices of things. In Ginza we went to one store where clothing is cheap, but good looking. I actually wanted to buy something...which is unusual for me, since I absolutely hate shopping for clothing, especially if I'm the one having to pay for it. Later on I had to go to the super market to buy food. I actually bought much more this time than I did before, so I'm proud of that...hahaha. Still, it's not nearly as much food as I'm used to getting when at home. This whole having to buy my own food thing is not sitting well with me!!

So here I am, in Japan. The flight here was whatever. It didn't really bother me. No delays. No problems. Everything went smoothly. I slept most of the way, which was my plan, so the flight went by really quickly. Also, the plane food was quite good. Much better than I was expecting. Very satisfied about that. :D

Being in Japan again was much different than before. I was alone, which really started bugging me from the moment I stepped into the country. I felt VERY VERY alone. Depression definitely started to set in at this point, though I was in public so I just did my best to tough it out. So, anyway, went through customs without problem, then got my bags. Then the hard part! I had to get on the Skyliner to go to Nippori Station! And I had to buy the ticket myself... It was different! Especially since the lady didn't speak English, but I managed. So train ride! Awesome! It was nice seeing the different areas of Japan. Very nice.

All right...next I had to get a taxi. Luckily, at this point, I managed to run into a guy who is also an exchange student! It made getting a taxi a whole lot easier. The taxi ride was about 10 minutes at the most...and I got to be freaked out by how small some of the roads are! At the international building, I got oriented to my new dorm room. It's quite big! Actually...it's more like an apartment than anything else. Really...it is very spacious.

But once left by myself, the depression really set in! I absolutely hated where I was, I wanted to go back home right at that moment. I was lonely and scared. I couldn't get on the internet because they don't have wireless here. I needed a LAN cable, which I didn't bring, because I didn't think I'd need one. So...that made the depression worse, since I just wanted to be able to go online and talk with friends. But...eventually I decided to go out and explore the area. I went one way, and ended up in a bunch of housing areas, so I turned around and eventually arrived at the stores and stuff. I had to buy shampoo, body soap, hand soap, shaving creme, and toothpaste. Ended up going to 3 different stores for that. But it was nice... I like the city.

When I arrived back to my dorm, my roommate had arrived! I was actually glad, because I realized that I did not want to be living by myself for an entire 10 months. Having someone else around is what I need. So at this point, my depression had faded to almost nothing. That was when I got to like the place a whole lot more than before. It was kinda awkward at first, cause I'm not very good at meeting new people, but everything turned out okay.

Erm...then I went out with a bunch of the other exchange students to eat dinner. We went to a place to eat tonkatsu! AND IT WAS AMAZING!!! OMG! It was a great meal! So awesome. I loved all of it! The tonkatsu, the rice, the miso soup, the little salad. So good... I loved it. :D Yummy yumminess!!! :D

We return back home right away, and...I went to sleep right after. Hahaha. It was only about 10pm, but I was just tired.

So that was my day in Japan! 1st day! Kinda crazy! Hoping it gets better as the days progress!
